Midgard Gathering Sweden, Sunday

Sun 14th November 2004 16:27 EET

Day three of the Midgard Gathering Sweden is well on it's way. Today's official agenda was very relaxed. We had agreed to have Robert's xhtml presentation but ended up having a sort of panel discussion on how to integrate Midgard with the Gnome desktop. A good project always needs a good name, Bergie decided to call this one GNOMEgard. For those who are unaware of the legendary Midgard project naming conventions, the rules are simple enough: the name must start with a Mid or end to a gard.

These are very interesting times for Midgard. Especially with the MgdSchema coming and now with the GNOMEgard... Man, if all this comes reality any time soon, Midgard will be kicking the sorry asses of large commercial CMSs with a zero-cost license.

Piotras has been having a major headache with the mgd_unsetuid problem over the weekend. The latest news is that we have the problem nailed! The patched Midgard has been running for an hour without problems. Nice work Piotras - I guess chanting "perrrkele" and jumping up-and-down was the key. ;)
